Liz Houlton is a Seattle based maker and mover. She is a native of Minneapolis, MN, training heavily in ballet under the direction Lise Houlton, Gloria Govrin, Lirena Branitski, and Jeffrey Hankinson. After graduating from California Institute of the Arts in 2015 with a BFA in Dance Performance and Choreography, she has participated in a myriad of festivals in Seattle. She returned to Minneapolis to set her work, “Close Quarters in a Large World” on Minnesota Dance Theatre for their Fall 2015 Season. Liz was chosen as a choreographer for Velocity Dance Center’s Bridge Project in January of 2017 and soon after acted as the Dance Director for BenDeLaCreme’s “Beware the Terror of Gaylord Manor,” for both sets of performances in 2017 and 2018.

As an independent producer, she has collaborated with local artists Alyza DelPan Monley, Alyssa Casey, and Elby Brosch to produce evenings of live performances. She is the host and producer of the podcast and blog Artist to Artist.
